“1934: The Dustbowl. The last great age of magic”
Not for me but, if you like the weird and the wonderful of the freak show carnival then you’ll love this.

This is, considering it’s a prequel and those are usually really bad or bang average at best, surprisingly really good and it delivers an unexpected twist that could be useful for any future movie franchising.

In my Top 5 Worst Stephen King books. Twas One of the few of his I’d not read, until now. Although the movie is pretty lame, the book (like most of King’s) I’m hoping is much better so got started on it today (5/4/25) Pretty tedious so took me a while to get through it but there’s not much happening for most of the book though their friendship with Duddits is definitely the highlight. IMO it’s one to leave for now, read all his better stuff first 😎👍🏻

Sequel to The Puppet Show (that one is so good there’s no choice but to carry it in) DS Washington Poe finds himself in the unenviable position of realising that his investigation and testimony in the sudden disappearance of Elizabeth Keaton six years prior could’ve led to the conviction of an innocent man, namely her celebrity chef father Jared Keaton whom was subsequently imprisoned for his daughter’s murder even without a body. Now, a young woman staggers into a police station stating that she is the missing Elizabeth Keaton. DS Poe races to find answers but, when Elizabeth goes missing again, all investigation paths lead back to Poe.

This is very, very Good 😎👍🏻

This is a really good series, well worth watching… I’ve watched all three seasons through twice now! Highly Recommended.

Starring Corey Feldman and River Phoenix as Chris Chambers & Teddy DuChamp, this heartwarming coming of age movie depicts childhood life and its adventures as they were for most children growing up in pre-internet times. Adapted from Stephen King novella The Body, Keifer Sutherland co-stars as the Ace bad boy & leader of his own gang whom race Chris, Teddy, Vern & Gordy to find the body of a missing 20 year old kid. It’s a must watch movie IMO.

Bachman’s Best IMO. One of the few books of his I’d not read but glad that I have now. Set in a parallel universe to King’s Desperation, the residents of Poplar Street find themselves under a mysterious attack from unknown origins. Audrey Wyler seems disengaged from this sudden onslaught and appears more relaxed than any of her neighbours but Why? What secret could she be harbouring?

This supernatural horror series is based on the podcast of the same name and is a Netflix exclusive. Dan Turner is hired to restore and examine video tapes from a 1990’s documentary project of a grad student called Melody Pendras. Dan soon discovers that all is not what it seems and finds himself in the middle of a dangerous mystery involving a disappearance and a secret cult.
Disappointed with the ending and not sanctioned for a second season but overall this is pretty good.
