The cabin at the end of the world – Paul Tremblay

This book should be called:

“The Crapiest 270 pages possible”

I’ve got nothing good to say about this book, I only read it coz I really enjoyed his A Head full of Ghosts except for the ending but this book is boring trash throughout.

You’re always waiting for something to happen, for the book to take off & leave you unable to put it down but it never came close and for such a short book it took me numerous attempts to bother finishing it.

Definitely Not one I’d recommend!!

A Head Full of Ghosts

After hearing so many rave reviews of this book by Paul Tremblay and being a fan of all books horror I felt the need to give this book a read.

Overall it’s pretty good, though not an original theme it keeps you intrigued throughout and gives you the feel of “needing to finish it”

That said, it’s got a disappointing ending, one which, had I known about before reading would’ve pushed this book further back on my tbr list but I’ve not let it put me off this author & have just purchased Cabin at the end of the world to give him another chance but if it has a similar ending it’ll be the last book of his that I read.

The Weary Traveller

We stopped here for lunch on the way home from Upottery, we were gonna stop at a random village pub but seemed to drive past them all without stopping! Wish we hadn’t though coz I thought the food at The Weary was just that, bloody Weary!! Out of 10 I’d give it 4 & that’s being generous also there was no pool table or jukebox (always bad) but even though the sun was shining it was too bloody cold to sit in their beer garden so this isn’t a place I’d recommend to anybody unless you’re in need of a last resort as we ending up needing today.
