Ready for Pennywise Day!!

HAPPY BOXING DAY!!😎😁🥳🥳

After C J Tudor’s debut novel The Chalk Man being pretty good I highly anticipated this, her second novel.
But, even after reading the prologue I knew this book would be very similar to a famous novel by Stephen King (though King explained the situation in much more detail) and this book read like a modern day re-writing of that particular novel so I wasn’t really impressed at all though if you know nothing about Stephen King you’ll probably enjoy this plagaristic effort!!
This is a collection of 28 short stories by Michael Bray.
I really enjoyed these horror/thriller shorts, reminded me at times of episodes from The Twilight Zone although some are similar in context they’re all very readable.
If you like a good horror or thriller anthology then this book is definitely for you.

I’d read this book before, roughly about five years ago and didn’t care much for it but as the movie is due out soon I thought I’d give it another go…
Strangely enough, I enjoyed it more reading it a second time though it’s nowhere near the quality of its prequel (The Shining is a Classic) it’s definitely very readable.

WOW! What a Great Book!!
“This is the only thriller you’ll need to read this year ”
That’s the line on the book’s cover that grabbed me and forced my purchase of it and boy was I glad that I did.
Yes it’s pretty long, Yes there’s a lot going on but as lamen might say…
“IT’S VERY WELL WORTH IT”
I’m looking forward to the movie adaptation which is due for release in 2020 but I’m pretty confident that, although it probably will be pretty good, it won’t be near as good as the book so I’d Highly recommend that if you like a great thriller, you must read this book.

Well… after reading so many good reviews of this book touted by some as one of the best horror books ever written I thought it was about time I read it for myself.
What a load of crap it is!! So much so that I just can’t find the words except for these four…
“Don’t bother reading it!”
This is a fictionalised short story of one man’s belief of the paranormal.
It’s not at all scary or thrilling but there are some laughs as he tells his story of actual events.
I’d say at 99p on kindle books, this is definitely good value for money and would recommend it to anybody.

The latest novel from the master of horror and another great read from the pen of Stephen King.
Not on a par with IT or The Stand but it’s certainly a book that Id recommend to anyone.
It’s a very enjoyable read with a few twists and turns along the way but overall really entertaining.
“Special kids are taken to The Institute where they undergo secret testing in order to save the world”
so some people say!
Make sure you check in, though it’s pretty difficult to check out until the end.
