From the author of classic horror novel The Exorcist comes his very own take on the Haunted House Ghost Story.
I loved this novella which I think is a must read for all fans of dark fiction, this author just doesn’t disappoint.

I’ve heard a lot about English horror author Adam Nevill but I’ve never read any of his books so I thought I’d put that right.
Think this is his fifth book, no idea if they run concurrently or not but this is a story about a young girl called Stephanie who believes her lodgings to be haunted.
This was an okay plot but it was far too long (at least 200 pages) and this author is repeatedly over descriptive. I’ll not be reading any other work of his.

Don’t make the same mistake as I did in thinking this sequel, like it’s Button Box predecessor was co written by Stephen King coz it isn’t. This is solely the work of Richard Chizmar but still it’s a pretty decent read.

I’ll be perfectly honest. I only read this book coz it was a genre I enjoy and it was Free for me kindle!!
That said, it was an easy read, well written and I really enjoyed it.
It’s actually the first book in a supernatural trilogy called “Sins” and I’m now very keen to carry on with the trilogy.

One to Avoid!! I think this book needs to be renamed, it’s far from intense!
It starts off okay but then has a huge wedge of slow, drawn out average drama which almost led to me not finishing it!
However, thinking it had to get better (it didn’t) I managed to finish it to its very predictable climax.

Oh! I’m a huge fan of hers, I love all of her books and just HAD to read her latest offering.
Luckily, I managed to get the kindle edition for 99p (Absolute Bargain) and I got through it in just a few hours it was so good.
I’m still looking forward to her sequel to The Craftsman which I believe is called The Poisoner so keep up the Good Work Shaz

I’ve just finished this 700 page beast even though many King fans slated it!!
Well I enjoyed it. I’m not sure why it got so many bad reviews, he’s done much worse work than this (From a Buick 8, The Long Walk, Tommyknockers) so to those of you that are being put off by others, DONT BE.

Sorry but it is!!
An author I’d not heard of before the book was highly recommended to me but one I’m glad I’ve now read.
An anthology with a difference, sometimes a gory difference and is sure to have you guessing all the way.

This is a small anthology of stories from the author of a great book called Mr Splitfoot.
Definitely a little different from your normal anthology but still very enjoyable.
