Cut – Marc Raabe

This was an impulse buy of mine some.. ooooh… two years ago so Twas about time that I started it so I did and within two days I finished it.

Eleven year old Gabriel witnesses a horrific crime, 29 years later his girlfriend is taken…

Someone knows his past and unless he can find her in time she will pay for what he’s done.

This is a Great Thriller. It kept me engrossed and guessing throughout though the ending is a little frustrating!!

A Very Good Thriller

Sleep – C L Taylor

I’ve had this book a whole, pretty sure it was a Xmas gift from my daughter but it got boxed up and put away… Until Now.

Seven guests… Seven secrets… One Killer… Do you dare to… Sleep…

After a tragic car accident Anna relocated to the remote Scottish island of Rum but she is still a wanted woman who cannot sleep..

I got through this one in less than a day, not because it was so good but because it was so intriguing. I had to know!!

The Bank – Bentley Little

I’ve heard quite a lot about this author but I’ve never read any of his work but that has now changed as I’ve begun reading this, his latest novel which I managed to get for 99p on me kindle.

Although it was very intriguing it’s got a very disappointing ending, so anti climatic that I just can’t find the words!

Sorry Bentley but I won’t be reading any more of yours.

The House of A Hundred Whispers – Graham Masterton

This is the brand new book from one of the UK’s best writers of horror and @99p was a Must Buy Bargain on kindle.

It’s set in a creepy mansion on Dartmoor which, upon the father’s death, his three children have been willed to look after the property without the permission to sell which upsets them all more than a little but then little Timmy disappears…

This is an OK book. Nothing that other haunted house books haven’t given us before but the ending to this is pretty comical for such an established author.

The Roanoke Girls – Amy Engel

After hearing so many good reviews about this book I stuck in on my TBR and finally got around to reading it.

To say I was disappointed is an understatement. The plot is not only highly unrealistic (some books are but still have an element of possibility to them) but this was just SICK

I cannot say much more without huge spoilers but IMO this is not a “Must Read” book it’s a “Must Avoid” book

Sorry Amy but I won’t be reading anything more from your sick mind.

THIS BOOK IS SICK

Creepshow (2019)

A revamped series of the 1980’s classic but this time featuring only one story written by Stephen King though (Grey Matter from Night Shift) one of his son’s stories features also.

Yes it was Ok. Not Great just okay. Some of the episodes were good some not so good but I’ll say that, if you’re a fan of Creepshow you do need to watch this just to satisfy yourself that you’ve not missed owt.

The Deliverance of Evil – Roberto Constantini

On 11 July 1982, Elisa Sordi, a beautiful young woman went missing, Commissario Balisteri was young and fearless, Italy were victorious but a killer was waiting…

On 9 July 2006, with Sordi’s case unsolved and 24 years old, Balisteri haunted by guilt and regret, Italy were victorious again but Sordi’s killer also resurfaced…

But this time Balisteri would be ready, he would fear no evil.

A Superb, Enthralling read!
