An average “B” movie horror from the early 1990’s that stars nobody in particular.
A teenage female goth discovers an ancient mirror at the new family home and, unbeknown to her at first, it’s demonic control soon has her bewitched and she starts taking advantage of her newly found powers.
This is a really good series. Entertaining and thrilling all at the same time.
Genevieve O’Reilly stars as Kate, a 37 year old woman who has just awoken from a coma after 18 years. Geraldine James and Robert Pugh star as her parents.
At first she struggles to come to terms with her parents and friends looking much older but she soon adjusts to the world with internet and mobile phones. Kate soon has nightmares about that night 18 years ago, she remembers being assaulted but her friends want to forget that night but Kate finds out that one of them, Brian Wellings, died that night and she needs to find out what happened.
Book 8 in the series, this is the latest adventures of Cormoran Strike and his Detective Agency. As this was a Free Audiobook and I’ve enjoyed the Tv adaptations of the first few books, why not give this one a bash, my very first audiobook!
Robyn is busy recovering from surgery and Cormoran is grieving his recently deceased uncle when a prospective new job arrives…
From Augustina Bazterrica, author of Tender is the flesh comes this anthology of short stories, one I discovered at a local Waterstones. Described as “Delightfully Unexpected” and “Fetish gore with a bewitching allure”
Very Disappointing. I’m a fan of motel/hotel horror so am always looking out for such movies and books, this movie was on my “To Watch” pile for ages, finally watched it last night and… Yes! Not Great!!
Five friends find themselves at an abandoned motel after crashing their motor home. Dirty secrets begin to reveal themselves amongst the friends but, unbeknown to them, the motel has some dark secrets of its own.
A very enjoyable 1980’s comedy drama starring Ray Brooks as perennial loser Robbie Box, a gambler with his next big win only a dream away. Sharon Duce co-stars as his long suffering girlfriend who reluctantly tolerates Robbie’s money making schemes out of her love for him but how long can it carry on?
Classic series from the 1980s starring Jimmy Nail, Kevin Whately, Timothy Spall, Tim Healy, Pat Roach & Gary Holton. Heading off to Germany to find work that’s lacking in England, this group of Geordies experience a vastly different lifestyle whilst earning a fair pay packet and enjoying their new lifestyles. Still very entertaining 1980s drama.
This is pretty good. Not great but not crap either. It’s based on a Stephen King short story of the same name that appears in his anthology Skeleton Crew.
Very Enjoyable. Well worth watching as it’s so relatable to some people’s lives at the time.
This 1990s comedy drama series stars Brenda Blethyn and Warren Clarke as Shirley and Phil Frame, a married couple whom are dealing with their own troubles alongside Shirley wanting to help anyone she finds in need which puts extra strain on their marriage.
I’d never watched this before, was out most nights when it was first aired so didn’t get to watch it but have recently binged both series on YouTube and loved it. 👏👏😎❤️👍🏻
