Death Ship – Movie (1980)

An Ok movie. Seen much worse. Starring George Kennedy (Poseidon Adventure) and Richard Crenna (Colonel Trautman Rambo) this cult classic sees a Cruise ship on its final voyage colliding with another vessel, but not just any vessel, this one they’ve colluded with is a Nazi wartime ship and, although the survivors from the collision board this ship, it soon becomes an uncomfortable ride for them all.

The Life of Chuck – Movie

It’s an Ok movie this. Adapted from the novella of the sane name by Stephen King, this stars Tom Hiddleston as Charles Krantz (Chuck) & Mark Hammil as Albie Krantz, Chuck’s Grandfather whom, along with his Grandmother Sarah Krantz (Mia Sara) bring Chuck up after his parents and unborn sister are killed in a car crash.

Told in three separate acts and in reverse order, this is a heartwarming tale of how, maybe, Chuck’s impending death affects the rest of the world.

The Botanist – MW Craven

Another Very Good book in the series, The fifth instalment of Detective Washington Poe and his sidekick Tilly Bradshaw.

This time, Poe’s go to pathologist and friend Estelle Doyle has been framed for the murder of her wealthy Father whilst a killer is ok the loose, claiming victims even though he gives them warning of their imminent deaths and being nowhere near the crime scenes.

It’s left to Poe & Bradshaw to figure out who this mystery killer is, as well as helping to prove Estelle Doyle is innocent of murder.

Run Away – Tv series

A Very Good series starring James Nesbitt and Ruth Jones.

Nesbitt stars as Simon Greene, a wealthy financial investor whose daughter Paige is missing, his wife gets shot during their search for her. Jones stars as Elena Ravenscroft, a private investigator who is currently on the case of a missing boy, Henry Thorpe.

Their journeys soon bring them together and the investigation hots up…
