LATER – Stephen King

The latest from King, his third hard case crime novel though I didn’t enjoy The Colorado Kid and am yet to read Joyland.

Jamie Conklin just wants an ordinary childhood but he is no ordinary child. Born with a special ability which his Mum Tia urges him to keep secret, Jamie can see what no one else can and learn what no one else can learn but the cost of using his ability is higher than Jamie can ever imagine.

Sounds Good, right? For a while this is a Great read but then comes the King Multiverse and the book goes rapidly downhill. It’s still a decent(ish) read if only to find out about Jamie’s Father and what happens to his Mum’s on off lesbian lover NYPD Liz Cutter but once the links start arriving it becomes less enthralling as a story. Overall, Disappointing Mr King
